Key Industry Challenges

The aged care industry faces significant challenges, impacted by changing government regulations, rising costs, and staffing shortages.

Current planning methods make feasible building solutions difficult to find, causing approval and construction delays. Many aged care facilities, especially those run by nonprofits, operate at a loss and rely heavily on government funding. These issues compound, creating a cycle that impacts the entire sector, residents, and their families.

Our Seniors Living Tool is designed to address these challenges head-on. We’re here to help aged care developments stack up financially and operationally, so more quality developments can be brought to market, sooner.

Case Study: Mingara Recreation Club

Pariter and Mingara Leisure Group are co-developing a new retirement living precinct adjacent to existing facilities at Mingara Recreation Club in Tumbi Umbi on the Central Coast.

Neuron provided building services engineering advice, improving the readiness of design documentation for the DA submission with early access to accurate data. The client received multiple options, allowing them to make informed decisions for the betterment of the project.

The development will integrate with Mingara Recreation Club to offer a unique coastal lifestyle for Club members and residents, with programs and services that seamlessly adapt to changing needs.

"We received a comprehensive concept design for the Tumbi Umbi development, which helped us make informed decisions regarding building services engineering. The building design underwent many iterations during the DA phase, and Neuron's rapid work enabled us to modify an early works package, resulting in significant utility connection cost savings. I highly recommend Neuron, as their tool and services can truly make a difference in the success of your project."

Case Study: Cadman Crescent

This 256-unit, five-building development by Levande and designed by Chrofi includes senior living, an innovative internal park and green roof spaces. A complex utility connection strategy, embedded network integration, and a CFD solution for car park ventilation were included. The steep site required careful coordination of the utility infrastructure. Neuron managed everything, including Sydney Water input.
