Neuron Wins PropTech
Innovation Challenge Grant with Geovation

We’re excited to share that Neuron has been awarded the PropTech Innovation Challenge grant through Geovation as one of just 12 winners. This will support the development of our Services Infrastructure Reporting (SIR) tool, a digital platform designed to unlock stalled and underutilised sites by solving one of development’s toughest early-stage challenges: utility feasibility.
For developers, especially SMEs, speed and certainty are critical. Being able to turn around utility feasibility in hours instead of weeks is a game-changer. We’re excited to work with clients to bring earlier clarity and unlock sites that might otherwise stall.
Our vision is simple: help every project team make better, faster, and more sustainable decisions. If we can reduce complexity, cut risk, and unlock the potential of thousands of small sites, the industry will be one step closer to meeting its housing and net-zero targets.

Why this matters
Before a project even gets moving, developers face the bottleneck of understanding whether existing utility infrastructure, power, water, sewer, gas, and communications can support a new development. Today, this process is slow, expensive, and consultant-heavy, often taking weeks and creating significant risk, especially for SME developers.
Neuron’s SIR tool changes this. By automating demand calculations and overlaying them with local utility capacity data, we provide a clear picture of infrastructure constraints in hours, not weeks. This means faster site viability decisions, reduced planning risk, and lower upfront costs.
Proven and ready to scale
The tool is already proven, supporting over 400 projects and 170,000 apartments in Australia, and more than 4,000 homes in London since our UK office launched last year. With the support of this grant, we’ll now be scaling automation in the UK, bringing turnaround times down from 10 days to just hours.

Why we’re excited
Winning this grant isn’t just validation of our technology, it’s a chance to make a real impact. The UK has nearly 320,000 small publicly owned sites and ambitious housing delivery targets. By giving developers earlier clarity on utilities, we can help unlock thousands of sites that might otherwise be delayed or abandoned.
For our clients, it means:
- Faster answers on whether a site is viable
- Tier 1-level engineering insights made accessible and affordable
- Greater confidence moving through approvals and planning

What’s next
With Geovation’s support, we’ll be rolling out new features, expanding our UK team, and moving towards a market-ready platform by early 2026. We’re looking forward to collaborating with developers, architects, and local authorities who share our vision of unlocking more housing sites, faster.
